A Cyanoacrylate based (super-glue, zap a gap) glue is fine. You may also use white glue or a 2 part epoxy.

When using super glue, it is recommended to put the glue in the pre-drilled holes, not on the wire.

No. Genesis oils paints require heating the resin to higher than recommended temperatures.

At high temperatures the resin properties can change and sometimes an odor can be present.  The Genesis oil paints will not bond and dry to the resin. We recommend craft acrylic paints or thinned artists acrylics as well as acrylic inks. When applied in fine washes the acrylics give excellent results. Remember to seal your finished work with a matte acrylic sealer.

Start by connecting the head/torso to the hip section. Next work on the legs and lastly the arms.

These assembly videos are very helpful and walk you through the assembly step by step.

Mini Doll Kits can be painted with acrylic craft paint.

You can also use thinned down artist acrylic paints or acrylic inks. The kits can also be blushed with loose chalk pastels or pan pastels. Oil paints and Genesis paints are not recommended for our resin kits. Remember to seal your painted/ colored kit  with a clear matte acrylic sealer.
Have you seen this video on painting and blushing your kit?

Yes. Our resin is non-toxic.

Our resin kits are made of a high quality artist resin which differs from most toy resins. It is safe and non-toxic. However we never recommend heating the resin as this changes the resin properties and may emit an odor.

Aleene's tacky glue and Liquid stitch are two of our favorites.

When using glues to construct your miniature outfit, remeber this technique works best on natural fabrics such as 100% cottons and silks. You can also use Fari-Tac from Beacon on harder to bond synthetic fabrics. When usng any white glue such as Aleene's or Liquid Stitch it can help to let the glue get tacky before bonding your fabric pieces.

We recommend white glue such as Aleene's Tacky Glue.

A tip for applying wigging ...it's easier to apply glue to the scalp than applying glue to the wigging. Work in small sections using the glue sparingly. Wigging can be easier to manage if you lightly spritz sections with hairspray before gluing and styling.

Viscose wigging can be curled by wrapping viscose around metal rods such as knitting needles, spritzing with hairspray and heating with a blow dryer to set.

Divide sections of wigging into small manageable sections. Spritz lightly with hairspray. Wrap aorung metal rod sized to your needs. Set with blow dryer on low. Remove from the rods and you have nicely set curls. Old fashioned Aqua-net hairsray is our fav for this task!

The most common reason glue does not adhere fabric together is using synthetic fabrics. Try switching to a light weight 100% natural fabric like cotton or silk.

Another reason can be thickness or weave issues. Sometimes a heavier weight fabric takes much longer to adhere. Try to avoid these fabrics as they also look bulky in miniature scale. Stick to fabrics labeled lightweight or very lightweight. In rarer cases, it is just a stubborn weave that works against you and it can be best to find a more suitable fabric. You can try Fabri-Tac or other alcohol based waterproof glues if you want to work with the more stubborn fabrics. Just be sure to test first.

Use a size 8 or 10 sharp needle. These needles are short with a very fine point.

1:12 scale figures you can assemble, paint and dress to become any character you can imagine. Kits can be painted with acrylic craft paints and assembled with glue... or select the menu options and let us do it for you.
